Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Opens Following Full Resort Renovation

Caesars Entertainment inaugurated the rebranded Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino on July 6, 2026, along the Nevada-California border. The venue, previously operating as Harveys Lake Tahoe, now launches under a new identity after a multi-phase renovation.

Event Overview and Management Vision

The opening ceremony featured entrepreneur Lisa Vanderpump, who recently unveiled the Vanderpump Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Live performances by musicians Tahoe Tommy and Pier Pressure accompanied the ribbon-cutting, while Tessie’s Cocktails & Chords managed the subsequent reception. Anthony Carano, president and COO of Caesars Entertainment, stated that the project aims to merge Sierra Nevada scenery with updated guest expectations. He noted that the launch marks the start of a new operational period for the Lake Tahoe location. Karie Hall, SVP and general manager of Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, added that the renovation applies a contemporary design approach to the property’s established features. A company spokesperson confirmed that the transformation preserves the venue’s history while updating its layout for current visitors.

Resort Facilities and Casino Floor

The updated resort includes 1,250 guest rooms, a high dive pool with an adjacent lounge, and expanded dining and evening entertainment venues. The casino floor has been reconfigured with new slot machines, table games, a redesigned high-limit and poker section, and a renovated Caesars Sportsbook.
