Konami Gaming First to File Casino Licences for Japan IR Market

Konami Gaming has submitted the first manufacturer licence applications to the Japan Casino Regulatory Commission for the country’s integrated resort sector. The company filed across all applicable licence categories, establishing a regulatory step for Japan’s casino market.

Japan’s first integrated resort is under construction, with a 2030 launch scheduled for a global casino operator. Konami Gaming has directed resources toward localisation, documentation, and operational planning to meet national legal and cultural requirements. The supplier applied its compliance infrastructure and licensing experience from more than 400 regulated territories worldwide.

Regulatory Alignment and Corporate Readiness

Lori Olk, senior vice president and chief compliance officer at Konami Gaming, stated: "Konami’s early filing demonstrates our commitment and readiness to engage constructively with Japan’s regulatory framework from the outset." She noted the process prioritises transparency and adherence to commission standards. Tom Jingoli, president and chief operating officer, described the filing as a coordinated effort across multiple business units.

He added that the company intends to support regulatory objectives and provide gaming solutions adapted to Japanese market conditions.

The information was provided in a corporate press release. Konami Gaming continues to monitor the development of Japan’s casino regulatory framework as the sector prepares for its first integrated resort launch.
