Merkur Group organized an international compliance workshop for 43 employees from June 30 to July 1. The event took place at Benkhausen Castle, the company's training center, and involved staff from Germany, Spain, England, Malta, the US, and Australia.
Workshop Agenda and Objectives
The two-day program focused on the theme "Perspectives" and aimed to optimize sustainable compliance processes. Sessions covered cybersecurity, risk management, and artificial intelligence. A panel discussion with representatives from various international subsidiaries and a digital quiz were also part of the schedule.
Ludwig Beckmann, chief compliance officer of the Merkur Group, stated that the diverse perspectives gathered during the workshop will be integrated into daily operations. He noted that these insights will support the continuous improvement of collaboration and existing procedures.
The agenda included evening sessions designed to facilitate informal networking across national boundaries. Feedback from the participants highlighted "collaboration" as a central value, indicating strong support for the international compliance network.
